Forensic Pathologist
Dr Sakelliadis graduated in 2002 from the Medical Faculty of Pavol Josef Safarik University in Kosice, of the Slovak Republic.
He subsequently specialized in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, at the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology of the University of Athens. He was awarded the title of the medical specialization of Forensic Medicine in 2009.
He attended the Post-Graduate Program of the Medical School of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens “International Medicine-Management of Health Crises”. He graduated with mark “Very Good”, on October 2012.
Dr Sakelliadis also attended the Virtopsy Course (Basic & Advanced), in Zurich, Switzerland, on March 2013,
He completed his doctoral Thesis at the Medical School of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, after successfully presenting it before a Board of (7) Professors. He graduated with mark “Excellent”, on September 2013. The subject of his thesis is: “Causes of death of inmates in major Greek correctional facilities”.
Today, he is working as a freelancer Forensic Pathologist, and is co-operating with various private insurance companies, with emphasis on the field of medical civil liability.
Dr. Sakelliadis is enrolled in the list of expert medical witnesses of the Court of Athens, Piraeus and of other Judicial authorities.
Since June 2020, Dr. Sakelliadis was appointed Assistant Professor of Forensic Medicine in the Medical Faculty of the School of Health Sciences of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
